How Bidwerk Handles Your Information
This Privacy Policy explains how Bidwerk collects, uses, shares, and protects information when customers request vehicle repair services, towing services, or vehicle purchase offers, and when providers use Bidwerk to review requests and submit bids or offers.
Information We Collect
Bidwerk may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, phone number, account details, vehicle information, repair request details, towing request details, vehicle offer request details, comments, uploaded photos, selected service categories, preferred service radius, and communication preferences.
For service providers and vehicle buyers, we may collect business name, contact information, shop or business location, service areas, accreditation or approval documents, bid details, offer details, subscription status, and payment-related account information.
When you use location-based features, such as “Use My Location,” towing pickup and destination fields, provider search by radius, or vehicle offer matching, Bidwerk may process location information to help match requests with nearby providers or buyers.
How We Use Information
We use information to create and manage accounts, process repair requests, towing requests, and vehicle offer requests, identify nearby providers or buyers, allow providers to submit bids or offers, display responses in the customer dashboard, help customers select a provider or buyer, improve platform performance, prevent misuse, and support customer service.
We may also use information to review provider applications, verify provider eligibility, manage subscriptions, send transactional emails, provide important account notices, and improve Bidwerk’s services.
Bidwerk may use automated tools or artificial intelligence features to help customers describe vehicle issues, categorize requests, or improve matching with providers. AI-generated recommendations are informational only and should not be considered professional mechanical advice.
How Information Is Shared
Bidwerk shares request information with service providers and vehicle buyers so they can review opportunities and submit bids or purchase offers. This may include vehicle details, service category, description, photos, approximate location or service area, towing pickup and destination information, and other details needed to evaluate the request.
When a customer selects a bid or offer, Bidwerk may share contact and request details between the customer and the selected provider or buyer so the service or transaction can be coordinated.
We may also share information with vendors who help us operate Bidwerk, such as payment processors, email providers, hosting providers, analytics providers, mapping and location services, authentication providers, and security tools.
Bidwerk does not sell personal information to advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties as part of its business model.
Payments and Subscriptions
Provider subscriptions and payments may be processed through third-party payment providers. Bidwerk does not store full credit card numbers. Payment providers may collect and process payment information according to their own privacy and security practices.
Photos and Vehicle Information
Customers may upload vehicle photos to help providers or buyers evaluate a request. Uploaded photos should only include information relevant to the vehicle, repair issue, towing need, or vehicle offer request.
Customers should avoid uploading images that contain unrelated people, personal documents, license information, payment cards, or other sensitive personal information.
Location Information
Bidwerk uses location information to support nearby provider search, service radius filtering, repair shop matching, towing pickup and destination setup, vehicle offer matching, and request routing. Location information is used to operate the service and is not sold.
